Floodplain Resiliency Planning
The Comfort Lake Forest Lake Watershed District (CLFLWD) has identified resiliency planning as a top priority in its latest 10-year watershed management plan. The district faces rising flood risks due to land development and more frequent storm events, leading to a reduced ability to manage flood risk. To address these challenges, staff are gathering data to identify the areas within the district that are most vulnerable to flood risks and a prioritization method for flood mitigation projects. In addition to this data, CLFLWD will host two workshops to gain a deeper understanding of how flooding impacts residents and stakeholders.
