Utilizing an employment application standardizes the information candidates provide when applying for a position. It protects the candidate from accidentally providing illegal information, such as photos, birth dates, and marital status. It also ensures that candidates understand how their information will be used, how to claim Veterans’ preference, and authorize that all information provided is correct.
