Bone Lake South Nature Area Fencing Project Begins
The Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Watershed District will be replacing and upgrading the perimeter fence at the recently acquired Bone Lake South Nature Area. Funding for the project is being provided through the DNR Conservation Partners Legacy Grant, which also helped support the property acquisition.
The new fence will be constructed to NRCS wildlife-friendly standards and is designed to help define property boundaries, guide public access to designated entry points, and prepare the site for future conservation grazing activities. The project will replace the existing aging fence and will generally follow the current fence alignment and recently surveyed property boundaries.
Construction is scheduled to begin May 19 and is expected to be completed within approximately 2.5 weeks.
