Forest Lake Street Sweeping Plan

This project will develop an enhanced street sweeping plan for the City of Forest Lake that optimizes phosphorus removal from increasing sweeping frequency with the cost of additional sweeps. The outcome of this project will be defining a functional enhanced street sweeping plan that will be adopted by the City of Forest Lake as part of their regular street maintenance program. The goal of this project is to develope a formal agreement between the CLFLWD and the City of Forest Lake to implement enhanced street sweeping for at least 10 years.

This project, among other recommended projects, was identified as a result of the Forest Lake North Direct Stormwater Retrofit Analysis.

The CLFLWD received a $36,000 Clean Water Fund (CWF) accelerated implementation grant from the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR). View the final CWF grant report here.
