The Comfort Lake - Forest Lake Watershed District (CLFLWD) encompasses roughly 49 square miles in northern Washington County and southern Chisago County, including the Cities of Chisago City, Forest Lake, Scandia, and Wyoming. The watershed outlets to the northwest to the Sunrise River, which flows northeast through Chisago County before discharging to the St. Croix River.

Now accepting applications for Citizen Advisory Committee

If you are interested in becoming involved in protecting and improving our water resources, joining the Watershed District’s Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) is a great place to start! The CAC meets monthly throughout the year with the purpose of providing public input to the Watershed District regarding policy and projects, provide a channel of communication to the Board of Managers, aid in fostering a positive public image, and to educate the public about the Watershed District’s goals and accomplishments. COVID-19 Update, Office Closure and Remote Meeting Attendance

The Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Watershed District (CLFLWD) is committed to our communities, stakeholders, and staff. We are monitoring the rapidly changing situation surrounding COVID-19 and are following the guidance of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health. CLFLWD has prepared temporary policies that will be implemented immediately.

CLFLWD offices are officially closed until further notice. All CLFLWD employees will be working remotely during this time and will remain available by phone and email. Individuals are asked not to come to the CLFLWD offices but instead contact our main number at 651-395-5850 for information and the staff directory.
